Methven’s new sensor and non-concussive taps are a modern and practical solution where hands-free operation or water control is important. Suitable for Commercial and domestic applications, specification can be done in confidence as the range is MEPS approved to AS/NZS 4665.1:2005 and tested to comply with energy and external power efficiency standards.

Falling under Methven’s Steriline brand, the sensor range is available in Square or Minimalist shapes, which also includes a round wall mounted option.

The sensor taps remove the need to operate the tap by hand, ideally suiting areas where hygiene is a key factor such as kitchens, bathrooms and laboratories. The disabled or elderly also benefit from hands-free operation, suiting applications such as retirement villages or hospitals.

The hygienic operation with automatic shut-off water saving control, offered by this range is paramount in any educational establishment or public washroom where there are large volumes of people using each bathroom facility. The sensor operated ‘on/off’ action ensures that only the necessary amount of water is used, providing a water-efficient solution to establishments with high water consumption.

Installation is simple and flexible with sensors operated by either mains power with battery backup or battery operation only. They are easy to fit in new installation or retrofits.

The non-concussive tap has a sleek design and minimalist styling and is built to last repetitive operation in a busy commercial environment. The self-closing tap can be set up to turn off in 7 or 14 seconds, providing anti-flooding solutions for schools or other public washrooms.
